Founder
Luis is passionate about efficiently harnessing innovation to address the challenge of caring for a growing and aging global population. With over 25 years of experience, he brings a wealth of expertise in developing complex instrumentation and products in eye care, providing clients with tailored solutions and industry insights.
Working at the forefront of ophthalmic innovation, Luis has influential connections across global eye care and ophthalmology. He founded LDSH Strategy in 2023 and previously led ophthalmology innovation at Cambridge Consultants in the UK, focusing on developing groundbreaking devices to meet pressing unmet needs.
In recent years, Luis has helped global eye care companies and start-ups navigate the complex innovation landscape in areas such as intraocular lenses (IOLs), surgical robotics, and drug delivery. He brings a unique combination of technical skills, market understanding, and insights into human-technology interactions.
Luis holds a Ph.D. in ophthalmic optics from Imperial College and was a pioneer in aberrometry and high-resolution retinal imaging.
